Description
Lauric acid, present in coconut oil and other natural fats, is a medium chain
triglyceride naturally found in skin oil. It strengthens the skin’s defenses and serves
various cosmetic purposes, acting as an emulsifier, texture enhancer, and adding
fragrance. Additionally, it’s used in skincare for its soothing properties. It is a waxy
solid consistency at room temperature and melts on contact with skin. I can be used
to make balm, cleansers, creams, lotions, body butters, shampoos, masks and
conditioners.
